		<description>The people who will gain most are the China bashers. 

What the West needs is a politically stable China.  That stability is maintained by an iron grip on everything and severe penalties for dissenters. Perhaps Google’s withdrawal from China, if that is what they eventually decide, is part of the price for that stability. 

We should question whether the China bashers are reacting to that ‘iron grip’ or fuelling the paranoia that creates it?</description>
